Making More Money Throughout The Game

August 24, 2019

Making More Money Throughout The Game - I’ve always found that betting on an event makes watching it a totally different experience. It doesn’t have to be a life-changing stake on a match, just something that gives you a financial interest in the match that you are watching.

For example, this weekend we have the Merseyside Derby as Everton host Liverpool. I don’t support either side but that doesn’t stop me betting on the game. I don’t care who wins the match as long as my bet comes up. The problem is that I want to ensure I have an interest in the game for the whole 90 minutes played. So how do I place a bet on the match that ensures even in the dying moments I have a betting interest in the match?

You can rule out bets on first goalscorer or the final score. What if you place a bet on Leighton Baines to score the first goal and then Daniel Sturridge finds the back of the net after just a few minutes and ruins your bet. You might also have a bet on Everton winning 2-0, that early Sturridge goals causes another betting slip to be torn up and your interest in the game is over from a betting point of view.

Therefore, choosing bets that can cover the whole game really enhance your enjoyment of the game as a betting vehicle. There are plenty of bets at decent odds that can be placed before the game and ensure betting interest throughout the whole game.

Will there be a Penalty in the Match?

The big bonus with this bet is that it has a chance of winning right until that final whistle is blown. It also covers both teams playing in the game, so every time the action ends up in either penalty area, there’s a chance I might just be about to see a penalty given and my bet comes up.

Last Goalscorer or Anytime Scorer

This is a far better bet than placing all your money on the first goal scorer. Both these bets can last until the final kick of the game and again it covers both teams and every player that steps foot on the pitch.

Number of Corners or Bookings/Players Being Sent Off

It can be the 95th minute and you’re one corner or booking away from winning or losing. Just imagine how focused you’ll be on the game even if the actual match result isn’t going to be changed. The same applies to whether there will be a player sent off in the match. You may well be watching the game in a different way from others. You’ll be keeping an eye on every tackle in the hope it gets a player sent off.

Odd or Even Goals

With this bet you don’t have to predict how many goals there are going to be scored. A bet on three goals in a match can easily go down in a short amount of time. The fourth goal in the recent Southampton v Palace FA Cup tie was scored in the 21st minute.

With the Odd or Even goals bet it goes down right to the final whistle. If you go for an even amount of goals and it’s 2-2 with minutes to go, you’ll be shutting your eyes every time a side is on the attack. If you’ve gone for an Odd number of goals, you’ll be crying out every time a side looks like scoring.

Of course you could just keep placing in-play bets to maintain your interest in the game. But that may end up costing you more money as the match progresses. You also want to enjoy watching the game not spend all your time placing bets on your computer.
